Senior Year “To-Do” List 1. Take the SAT and/or ACT if needed. (fall) 2. Make a final decision about the colleges to which you will apply (fall) **don’t forget that you have two college visit days that you can use.** ******************************How do you do this?************************************************************************** ** Bring a Parent note to Mrs. Wadell and tell her you plan to miss for a college visit. Get official document from the college on day of visit confirming your visit.Then return notice from college to attendance office.** 3. Apply online or obtain and fill out paper applications – colleges prefer online (fall through winter). ****************Note: You will use your “End of the junior year transcript” to apply for colleges in the fall******************** 4. Search for and apply for any and all scholarships for which you are eligible (all year) ********* **************************How do you do this?******************************************************* >Go to the college fairs offered through the school >follow Junior & Senior News on this blog >check with the college you will be attending >visit scholarship search engines such as www.fastweb.com. 5. After Oct. 1 & no later than Feb. 1st, (depending on the college you are applying to), complete the FAFSA online (form for determining eligibility for financial aid). To complete the FASFA you will need to use the tax information from the year before, so get income taxes completed as early as possible. 6. Continue to make good grades! 7. Enjoy your senior year!
